Mehmet Emin Selamoğlu has never given up the principles of CONSISTENCY, HONESTY and RELIABILITY in transport, to which he has dedicated his life and contributed to its development and has set an example for the sector.

These principles are still the essentials of Selamoğlu Nakliyat today.

Mehmet Emin Selamoğlu, the founder of Selamoğlu Nakliyat, born in 1922, comes to Ankara in 1934 and starts working for Kardeşler Taxi, the first telephone-taxi service of Ankara, owned by his uncles.




Later, in 1946, he establishes his own telephone-taxi company, which is a first with its uniformed drivers and taxi stand where daily newspapers are also available.

Resuming his commercial life by opening the first modern petrol station with lift canopy in Ankara in 1949, Mehmet Emin Selamoğlu starts domestic transportation with a fleet of 15 trucks in early 1951, which was a first for those years.




Some of the 'FIRSTS' that Selamoğlu Nakliyat has implemented;

1955 - Opened the first car showroom in Ankara.

1956 - Performed the first assembly in Turkey of Chevrolet brand trucks sent in crates as CKD (spare parts) from the USA.


1959 - First authorized maintenance and repair service of Fiat in Turkey.

1963 - Produced the first civilian TIR tow truck with the installation of the fifth wheel on the Fiat Tow Truck.

1968 - The first delivery of zero kilometer Anadol cars to their owners with double-decker carriers, a first for Turkey.

1968 - Carried out the first transport to Europe under the auspices of the TIR Convention.

1970 - Opened the first Turkish transportation office in Italy.

1971 - The first Fiat-Tofaş production Murat 124s transported across Turkey using car carrier vehicles, a first for Fiat-Tofaş.

1980 - The first Jumbo trailer planned and manufactured in Ankara.

1982 - The first partial transportation began between Italy and Ankara.


Mehmet Emin Selamoğlu was one of the founders of the Society of Drivers and Tradesmen's Surety Cooperative, the International Transporters Association(UND), the Foundation for Strengthening the Turkish Police Organization, and was also involved in the establishment of the Organ Transplant Foundation of Turkey, a first in 1980.
